Coffee factories produce a lot of coffee grounds/coffee spent in the process of producing coffee. Recently, an Indian customer inquired about our coffee grounds/coffee spent dryer. The client wanted to use steam as a heat source to dry the coffee grounds/coffee spent to make pellet fuel. In fact, dried coffee grounds/coffee spent can be used not only to make pellet fuel but also as a substrate for garden biomass. Today we will explain how coffee grounds/coffee spent are dried?
The coffee grounds dryer is also known as a three-layer tumble dryer. Widely used in drying coffee grounds/coffee spent, brewer's grains, coconut bran and other materials. The moisture content of the dried coffee grounds/coffee spent is about 12%-15%, and the biomass pellet fuel can be obtained through the flat die machine granulation.
The coffee spent dryer is mainly composed of a heat source, a feeding machine, a drying drum, a transmission device, a feeding machine, an induced draft fan and a power distribution cabinet. The copy board is driven by the rotation of the cylinder to continuously raise the lees. The hitting device on the cylinder wall prevents the material from sticking to the cylinder wall and the copy board. Full contact, accelerates heat and mass transfer in drying, evaporates water, completes drying, and is discharged from the discharge port .
